Foldøy Trip

Outside Meals
Our trip to Foldøy this weekend was just as successful as we had hoped. Although we had rain showers, wind and quite chilly weather, we had a great time. We had all our meals outside, which was good, as the cabin was not quite big enough for 14. We arrived at Foldøy yesterday at one, after a 1 1/2 hour boat ride from Stavanger. Lunch was served immediately - Synnøve and Per Inge had prepared crab, shrimp, bread and salads for lunch. We even had Champagne and strawberries.

After lunch we went for a walk around the island, Foldøy is a beautiful spot with a few farms and maybe 15 cabins. In the evening we had a barbecue, and sat outside with our cold weather clothes until going to bed around midnight. Sleeping in a tent was fine, even though we had a few rain showers.

This morning the weather was better, and we went for a walk in the sunshine before catching the boat back to Stavanger.

Tomorrow Rebecca is going to start her green card golf course, Linda is going riding, and Thomas and I are going to the first soccer match this fall.
