Pulpit Rock

On the Pulpit Rock with Laura

It's a skip and a jump to get there - two hours each way, but it's really beautiful. We have visited the Pulpit Rock four times since the kids were born, the last time when Tali was here five(!) years ago.

This time we brought Laura along, she's a visitor from Tacoma, Washington. She's staying with a Norwegian host family for three weeks this summer. She's a member of the "Sons of Norway" organization, and the president of her branch is a distant relative of mine, Cliff Magnussen. So that's how we ended up meeting her. Laura's hostess, Ellen, and Ellen's daughter, Vanja, also came along. We had a great day together, enjoying the scenery, the hike and the company.
