Patti and Cornell arrived for Christmas vacation Friday the 16th of December. The next day us adults took off for our annual Lutefisk dinner. We met Morten, Aud Jane, Per and Siren out at the Obrestad Lighthouse, about an hours drive from our house. We started off with a chilly hike, and when we came back to the lighthouse, we had hot Gløgg, dried leg of lamb, cheese and bread. Then we were visited by carolers, actually a whole choir. Really cool.
The high point of the evening was the lutefisk of course. Morten prepared it in his regular, perfect manner, and served it with potatoes, mashed peas, bacon, mustard, beer and Aquavit. Both Patti and Cornell enjoyed the food, as of course, the rest of us.
We spent the night at the lighthouse, and went home the next day after a beautiful hike along the shore of the North Sea.
