It's well past midnight, our guests have left, and the kitchen is pretty much cleaned up. We've had a super evening, 16 people for dinner - the Swedes, my brothers's family from Sviland, and of course Farmor and Farfar. We've been working most of the day getting everything ready, but had a break for rice pudding lunch at Farmor and Farfar at noon. At three we had a good chat with Patti and Cornell on Skype. Sure doesn't seem long ago that the whole Anderson clan was here enjoying Christmas with us.
We had dinner just after five, our traditional pinnekjøtt served with all the essentials. Rebecca had made fruit salad for dessert, also very good after the rich meal.Opening presents took most of the evening, we actually took it easy, looking at everything that everybody got. I guess the biggest event was Farmor and Farfar's present: a laptop computer with broadband connection. As soon as we get them all set up, we'll let you know so can send them the links to your blogs ;-)
Coffee, cakes, and finally a sip of whisky was enjoyed before the evening was over. Also, Billy called and send us hugs and good wishes. So neat.
Hope you all are well, and that you're enjoying a peaceful Christmas. All the best from us at Gangaren!
Knut
