Lutefisk at Jonsahuset

The annual Lutefisk event was one of the best ever. Morten and Aud Jane invited us to Jonsahuset, and old, restored house from 1899, beautifully located on the ocean front. In addition to the regulars, Siren's sister, Kjersti, and her husband, Ben, also came. They were visiting from Australia this winter.
We met for lunch Saturday, and enjoyed Champagne, wine and seafood. Afterwards we found time for a short hike and a nap before Morten and Aud Jane set up the main course: Lutefisk. What a dinner! Huge pieces of fish with all the accessories: Bacon, mashed peas, mustardsauce and potatoes. And beer and Aquavit. So basic, so delicious.

Later we had coffee and desert - wild berries and ice cream. All so good. Sunday morning Per and Siren made breakfast, a perfect start of a relaxing day. We were home by one PM, satisfied with a great trip.

So sad we weren't there! But happy someone was there to fill "our spot". -Patti
