What a weekend.

Knut and I went up to the cabin right after work Friday. Both Duluth Packs were filled with everything from a vacuumcleaner to kitchen towels! It was pitch dark when we parked the car and our new headlights came in handy. The climb was quite a challenge with such heavy packs, but we made it!
The cabin wasn't as ready as we had hoped but we managed to find space for two sleeping bags on the floor for the night. The stove wasn't ready so we had to survive on sandwiches for both dinner and breakfast. But I went to the carpenters who were still working on the other cabin and borrowed a watercooker so we could make coffee in the morning. Friday evening Knut painted in the attic while I cleaned up and found where we could sleep.
Saturday morning after breakfast Kjell Lauritz and Wenche arrived to help us paint. They were so effective that we painted the entry way, storeroom, both bedrooms and finished the loft in one long day. They are amazing!
To top everything off, we returned home to Wenche and Kjell Lauritz' for an evening of fresh lobster from Kvitsøy, an hour in the jacuzzi and cormorants for dinner. The night ended with favorites from the 80's on Spotify accompanied by small glasses filled with yummy things to drink!
It's Sunday and the day started with a nice breakfast with Wenche and Kjell Lauritz. They will join us for a walk up Bynuten with a gang from work.
The weekend will be topped off by a dinner with Therese and Bjørn before going to see Sigvart Dagsland at the new concert hall in Stavanger.
Some weekend!
