We came up as soon as we could after work on Friday and had a nice evening together. Fresh shrimp is a delicious, quick and easy meal on a Friday evening.
Nice view from the kitchen window
Aadne made us his "Knaben Breakfast" on Saturday morning - bacon and scrambles eggs. Yummy. We made a big lunch, packed our packs and went out in the bright sunshine. There was almost no wind, loads of new fluffy snow and -15C (5F).
Knaben breakfast in the making
One of the most beautiful days we've seen so far. Thorhild and Aadne didn't have skis with them, so they went for a nice long snow shoe hike while Knut and I took off over the lake, Djupavanet, and towards a valley we haven't explored yet, BrÄdlandsdalen.

But alas, the whole valley looked to be in the shade and we decided to make the most of the sunny day! The snow was so perfect that it wasn't necessary to stay on any trail and we stayed east of the main trail to BlÄfjellenden. It was a beautiful day and it would have been nice to stay out there two or three hours longer, but the concert wouldn't wait so we returned to the cabin, cleaned up a bit and drove home.
A super fast shower and we were on our way to catch the train to Stavanger. We had no time to eat so we had a romantic dinner for two at the 7-11 by the train station!
We met Terje and Wenche on the train and were soon standing in a crowded concert hall cheering and singing along with one of my favorite bands, Kaizers Orchestra. The two hour long concert flew by and it was only my sore throat that reminded me that we had been standing there for over two hours.
