Preparing for the Party

Hard Workers

Life at the Farm is good - also when it's busy. The days before the big celebration was spent setting up tents, firepits, signs, soccerfields, decorations and painting benches. Compared to all the work that had already been done by Granma and Granpa it was nothing. They had already done all the planning, invitations, cooking, mowing, harvesting and maintenance, they had even painted the house AND the barn..

In between all the preparation there is always time for a round of Cribbage and a good meal - and even in the end of September we were enjoying the abundance of corn and tomatoes. Sooo good!

Throughout the week people started pouring in, and soon we were accomanied by the Floridians, the Hawaiians, the Belizians, Mike and Lisa and even Lis from the Faraoe Islands.
