We just got back from a week at the Papirfly cabin in Tregde. Like last year, Linda's friend, Lindis and Thomas' friend, Christer came along. We were there from Sunday to Friday and had a wonderful time.
The weather was just about perfect and we spent the days fishing, reading, riding the tube behind the boat, making and eating good food and playing. We took a day trip into Mandal to get food for the whole week. The boat was filled on the way home, you can imagine how much four teenagers and two adults can eat in a week.
The kids set out the crab trap every day using the small fish they caught during the day and got a total of 9 nice crabs. So we had crab several times and it was so yummy. The kids were so much fun to be with and they helped out with the everyday chores in the cabin. Christer and I got up early one morning and went fishing out in the boat, but we only got 1 little mackerel. Still it tasted good. Thomas caught a sting fish one evening and when Lindis grabbed it, not knowing it was dangerous, she got stung quite badly. So we were on the phone to the doctor getting instructions on what to do. The only thing that helped was putting her hand in hot water to destroy the proteins that were causing pain. Good 'ol Lindis, she was pretty tough about it!
So now it's back to work this week, but hopefully we'll be heading out on a long mountain hike next weekend.
