This year at school, Linda and Ida have Home Economics, er.. that's what it used to be called, now it's called "Food and health". But no matter what it's called, the kids are encouraged to make as much food at home as possible. This is a good thing for us parents.
Two Mondays in a row now Linda and Ida have done trolldom in the kitchen as they both shopped for the food and made dinner for us all. This is including dessert. As my kids will willing tell anyone who will listen, I don't make a lot of desserts, so when someone does things are very happy here.

Last week we were treated with a three course meal consisting of a starter with garlic bread, finely chopped tomato, cucumber, bell pepper and 1/2 a boiled egg. The main course was chicken and rice and we had a dessert of fresh, home made brownies.
Today, they didn't have as much time since they have homework to do, so we had fishsticks, macaroni, grated carrots, fresh tomatos and cucumbers (from the yard!) then for dessert, they made a delicious fruit salad.

I could get used to this. Linda and Ida on Mondays and Thomas who often decides to treat us with, for example, a delicious fish soup - well, lucky us.
