Belma and Howard in Norway

So nice to meet them again - Belma and Howard, the newly weds, stayed with us Friday through Sunday last weekend.

Friday afternoon we hung out around the house, enjoying the weather, food and the company. Saturday morning we drove to Sirdal, to Tore and Jorunn's cabin in Suleskard. The weather was wet and relatively warm, but the anticipation of finding mushrooms drove us out on a hike despite the conditions.

After a couple of hours we came back to the cabin with enough Kantarell to make a mushroom sauce for dinner. We had lamb thigh, a dish that the New Zealanders didn't get too often despite the fact that New Zealand has like 40 million sheep.

The rest of the evening we spent playing games and talking, and we all slept like logs in the dark and quiet of the Sirdalen wilderness.

Sunday was crisp and sunny, but alas, we had to drive back home as we were expecting guests for dinner. At 5 PM Karl, Marta and their kids arrived, and also my parents came down to visit. Seeing the Klepp clan again was really nice, we meet them way to seldom.

In the evening Belma and Howard continued their journey. First to Ålgård for a few days before returning to England. Later on they will meet Howard's brother in Thailand, before going back to New Zealand after 2 months of travelling.

So great seeing them both again - we all hope they come back soon!

Knut
