Finally some snow

So a bit about our first ski-weekend this year: Last weekend we went to Sirdal with Tore, Jorunn, Morten and Bjørnar.

We got a bit of a shock when we arrived at the cabin, as the main fuse had blown and the cabin was ice cold. Actually like 5 below inside. They had just installed a shower under the cabin and both the water heater and the faucets in the shower froze and cracked. The same for the faucet and water heater inside the cabin. So for the first evening we had no water (had to melt snow for cooking spaghetti!) and of course it took a long time to get the whole cabin warmed up! Felt a bit sorry for Tore and them as it was a bit of stress.

Still we got in a nice long cross-country trip on Saturday, and then went downhill sking on Sunday. The pictures are of us on the xx-ski trip on Saturday. We had really nice weather that day and it was a very nice trip. I had one of the dogs on the way in and Thomas had the dog on the way back. It can make it a lot easier to have a dog as they pull you along, but you have to be aware just in case they see a bird or something. Then it can get exciting.

On Sunday it rained and was windy again, but still the hills were good for sking. It wasn't quite as pleasant as the day before however!

I love the picture of Knut and Thomas eating something....the way you are looking at it, it is hard to figure out if you like it, don't like it, or are wondering just what it is!! Sounds like a fun weekend other than the burst pipes!! Patti
