Tiverton exchange students

May has been a busy month for us and now that it's coming to an end, things are calming down around here. Yesterday our two exchange students from Tiverton, Devon went home after two weeks here in Sandnes. We had one girl, Casey for the first week. Then they needed a home for one more so Chloe lived with us for the last week.

There were about 20 kids here from Tiverton and they had several excursions while they were here. On one trip they had been up to the mountains in Sirdal, close to where we visit Knut's brother. On the way there, they visited Månefossen, the waterfall that looks like it is coming out of a mountainside, and Ørneredet, where the walk to Kjerag starts.

Another trip took them to Byrkjedal, the candle place, where they saw a fish farm and made food together with a chef. During the school week, they went on hikes in the area here, participated in a local relay race and had a soccer game against the Norwegians.

The last evening here we had a picnic in the Arboretum with all the families. After that we invited a whole gang to our house for fried chicken and a party. The house was full that evening and it looked like the whole gang had lots of fun.

Yesterday morning they left for Tiverton again. In one short week, Linda will go over there for 16 days. I'm sure she will have a great time.
