Even though July has been extreemly wet and only moderately warm, our one week vacation at Ørpholmen was totally pleasant. Thomas and Linda brought one friend each, Tonje and Magnus, so we were six altogether. We also brought our cat, Tiger. She had the time of her life - no other cats, just an abundance of mice. She hardly touched her regular food, and didn't bother to stay inside the cabin at all.
We spent our days reading, cooking, fishing, playing games and just hanging out. The island is so peaceful, made for relaxation.
Tuesday we went to Mandal to meet Per Ivar and Anne Beth and their kids. We had pizza at a restaurant, and afterwards we went to see the last Harry Potter movie. A great day - even though the rain was pouring constantly.

I hope we get to go back to the cabin some day, has lots of wonderful memories of when we were there the first time and a nice to see there is a nice boat to get out to the island in!!! -Patti
