Knaben Weekend

Without the kids! Yes, we went to Knaben without the kids this weekend. Luckily Therese and Vegard were there, so we weren't totally starved for teenage exposure. As always when going to Knaben, we had a great time with the Omdahl family.

Friday evening, Therese made the dinner: chicken tortillas, wraps with chicken meat, bacon and sour cream. She made so much that we brought leftovers for Saturday's hike. Saturday morning we got up at 7am, had breakfast, dressed and started hiking before 9. By then the wind and rain was coming down quite hard, so we were dressed in rain gear, fleece and wool. After a few hours we were drenched anyway, so we only made short stops for food and drinks in order to stay warm. We hiked 19 km in 6,5 hours, and had a memorable day!

In the evening we watched Viking beat Strømsgodset 3-0 before eating veal, mashed potatoes and vegetables. We had Godello with the game, which made it even more perfect.

So, the kids opted to stay home this weekend. Linda has played two handball games, and is on her way home from Haugesund now. Friday evening Thomas and Eivind went to a show in Stavanger, and yesterday, of course they went to Viking Stadium.

So, great weekend againg - thanks Thorhild, Aadne, Therese and Vegard!

Knut
