Notre fille Mélissa

Mélissa at the top of Preikestolen

For the past two weeks we have had an exchenge student here from Ugine, France. That's in the Savior region, near Albertville. Her name is Mélissa Chaudesaigues and we just fell in love with her. She was a delightful girl to have in the house .

The Norwegian students were in France in Janurary and the French students came here now in May. They could not have been more lucky with the weather as we have had sunshine and relatively warm weather the entire while they were here. During the days they went out on different excursions while the Norwegian students went to school. They went to Månefossen, took the boat into Lysefjord, went fishing outside of Stavanger (Mélissa a un poisson mort!) visited several museums and even had lunch with the mayor of Sandnes. During the weekends she was all ours and among other things we celebrated Syttende Mai this past weekend, went up to Preikestolen, went to our neighbors confirmation and went to the beach.

She returned to France today and we all miss her already. It has been a super experience having her here and now I think the whole family wants to go visit her and her mom in France. This exchange student stuff is just the best!
