After a good night's sleep, coffee and a lovely breakfast, we hung out at Patti and Cornell's, playing boccia ball and going for a walk in the park. In the evening we all dressed up and went to Chanhassen to see "42nd Street" and have dinner. Enchanting place, the Chanhassen dinner theatre, and as always, the show was superb. Great music, dancing and acting - and of course, good food as well.

Monday morning we left for the Farm, arriving there shortly after noon. The Farm looks as nice as ever, everything well kept, mowed and blossoming. The barn has new sidings and windows put in on the short ends of the building. We had a great dinner of venison in the evening, and as always; loads of vegetables to go with the meat :)

Tuesday the ladies went to Duluth shopping, while Grampa, Thomas and I went into the woods to get the logging roads brushed out. Thomas and I walked in front of the tractor, clearing and cutting so that Grampa could get the tractor through to cut the grass and weeds. The bugs were fierce, but luckily we had nets to prevent us from going totally insane. The heat and the amount of work turned the whole event into a great workout for all of us. Coming back after 4 hours of work we were quite drained. In the evening we had shrimp and salad, gooood stuff and very enjoyable!
Wednesday we went to Duluth shopping, while Granma and Grampa went to Sandstone for check ups. When we came back, they had prepared a lovely chicken/spaghetti dinner for us, the sauce was awesome - garlicy as always, with tomatoes and other spices as well. Linda claimed that even though both Rebecca and I make delicious spaghetti sauce, we were not quite in the Granma league yet - and she is right.
Today has been another day of the boys going crazy in the woods, we made it back to the Farm just as the rain started pouring. We managed to clear a couple of the side trails so that we can bring the tractor in to cut another day. The ladies have been inside all they baking cookies in preparation for Tali's shower.
We'll stay here until next weekend, then it's off to the BWCA...
