Now the walls in the kitchen covered with drywall as is the ceiling. The spots are all ready for mounting the lights.
The floor is boarded, the wire mesh and heating cables are in place,
and when I came home today, they had poured the cement covering over the cables.
Unfortunately, the floor wasn't leak-proof and the wall in the basement now has cement stripes! I have managed to wash off most of it, so time will tell if it leaves a stain.
The livingroom is very different looking now. All the spots in the ceiling are wired and ready and the drywall is up.
There was no way to paint it nicely,
so we decided to drywall the walls there as well.
So in there, the walls and ceiling is drywalled and the painter has been spackling the last few days now.
My last picture is of Ryan's painting. He painted this 18 years ago when visiting us. He was just 18 and Linda was a newborn baby. I love the picture and will have to invite Ryan back to make a new version some wonderful day!

I would love to see a picture of looking from the dining room into the kitchen, where the most change took place. Still having a hard time visualizing it. -Patti
